Anyone else a Carry on fan?

LOve - I have that complete VHS Boxed set...Sid James is a hero. Liked Confessions alot too - On the Buses is so strange, there is so much wrong about them. (I am only really familiar with the films and not the TV show). Love Thy Neighbour is also very interesting too. Never heard of Don't Drink...

What movie did you watch last night?

Point Blank - Excellent though strange original film version of the revenge novel, The Hunter. (remade as The Outfit/Payback and most recently Porter). I keep noticing more everytime I see this film... Stand up guys - Great cast dial it in. Pretty terrible but I can watch Walken in anything.

    Battlestar Galactica

What did people think of Blood & Chrome? I think it started well but went downhill a bit towards the end. Was it proposed as a pilot - I was thinking this might be why it wasn't on more of an epic/historical tale.

Bike to Work (since you all love talking about bikes)

It might be a bit excessive (and I'm not sure if its the best combo) but I use a U-Lock, a cable (without a lock) and a 'snake lock' like this one: I find its not always possible to find some where where you can put the U-Lock thru the frame/back wheel AND a pole/bikerack/permanent fixture...

What movie did you watch last night?

The Long Day's Dying (1968) Very odd ball War film about 3 British Paras behind enemy lines. Stars David Hemmings - reminded me a bit of the Peter Watkins film Gladiators (but on a smaller scale). The ABCs of Death (2012) 26 short films by different directors about murder/death each based on...

I need some advice about buying some Rain Gear (in Dublin). So before heading down Capel St and buying first thing I see, I wouldn't mind some pointers. What should I be looking to pay for jacket and Pants? Should I get 'breathable' rain gear? If so how can I tell? Best place in Dublin to get...

What movie did you watch last night?

Yeah Ti West did the same with House of the Devil too. I got this on DVD for my BDAY: Its a collection of British Public Information Films from the 70's. Some great stuff on starring now dead celeb pedos, the guy who played Darth Vader among others. Anyone else traumatized by this as a child...

What movie did you watch last night?

I actually enjoyed it but I understand why people hated it. It was way trashier than I expected and the character clichéd. Penn looked and came across like a Dick Tracey villain.

    forthcoming film trailers

I liked it - the stories are a bit of a mixed bad though and I thought Ti Wests was one of the weaker ones. I think it might be out on Netflix already.

What movie did you watch last night?

Haxen was such a cool film - not watched the Burroughs version though. Finally saw The Hobbit: I really didn't expect to like it that much and I was very pleasantly suprised. I really enjoyed the film. SOme things though: The things they added - the Nature Wizard guy and all the back stories...

What movie did you watch last night?

Put me in a great mood and I also found I had grown an epic tashe by the end of the film.

What movie did you watch last night?

I enjoyed it but I agree about the shooting style. The way they started using 'phantom cameramen' annoyed me too. But I liked the 2 cops and their interacton with each other - reminded me of a feature length version of Southland. This was way sillier than I expected but I still thought it was...
