What's wrong with a fest where everyone gets paid and is free for the public? Esp one where it's mainly local/unknown acts? If you're against it as it might ruin the canals then if the times I've had to deal with DCC for event planning are anything to go by it'll be well looked after.

Is there anything worthwhile in that place that used to be Sub City? When is it closing down? Last time I was in there almost all the LP's they had were bootlegs.

I believe they're actually part of the eBay/Paypal empire so you're pretty safe in terms of getting refunds etc. Obviously have the usual wariness like you would with eBay sellers but you should be grand.

I will say the sale they were having during the week was pretty good, picked up a bunch of new pressings/releases for decent prices. Just hoping they realise that's the level of pricing they need to keep going. It was only on LP's though, all the 7"s were the same price. What did you pick up...

What were the prices like for things in town? There's a few things I wouldn't mind but I'm guessing they're either long gone or super expensive. The thing where 7"s are €10 in Tower in particular is completely ridiculious.
