    Yeah, i use it a lot but I'm rarely over 35kmh - That's just my cadence or whatever - I had 9 on the other (much, much lighter bike @ernesto ) and that knocked 5 mins off my commute every day.

    I've a notion my gearing goes that low, but also i think tops out at 11 or something, which to cover 236km in a day is probably also useful. I'm looking at scotland for my next one and (28kg bike with pannier wind drag) I'm getting put off by 90km a day.

    I had that at a wedding a few months back - I just like nodded a bit cos like the guy is otherwise a fully functional nice adult and it was someones wedding. I do need to develop some path to dealing with it again though.

    I'm pro bell I tend to use it muted mostly, like a gentle click sound, and mostly use it for saying hello. You ring them more than you pedal in the Netherlands, and they have some experience cycling.
