The Trip isnt the one I'm thinking about, as I remember lots of random images etc... The vibe seems the same alright, but theres another programme out there like it, thats on DVD too. Any other flashbacks?

late 90's come down show on late night Channel 4?

Remember that show that used to be on Channel 4 (I think) in the early hours of Saturday morning which was just really cool visuals (abstract/landscape etc) over ambient electronica music? Basically for the club kids to come home and turn on, tune in and cop out to. What was it called...

    How are Road getting on?

As someone mentioned, Tower also take in records from Irish bands but take a huge cut (I think its €4 of a €5 sale!) or something prohibively high. Road are much fairer with the split...

    Office-Speak phrases you hate

to briefly resurrect this thread, my job have now started to send out 'good news pieces' by email. Basically spam to say that their service is now 5% faster, or some inconsequential detail no one will care about. And they think that sort of stuff will stop the haemorrhage of money out the door...

Hilarious things you've seen at gigs

I went to see Ash when I was 16 and like me, most of the crowd were muppets waiting to bop to 'Girl From Mars'. The support act were Six By Seven (anyone remember them?) and with their post/noise-rock template , playing guitar with a bow etc they didnt go down too well. Halfway through a song...

Hilarious things you've seen at gigs

The singer was boasting about how many yokes he was on and how he was gonna go...

The price of local, small gigs.

Its a plain fact that if yo u want to play a good venue in Dublin city centre, then the band, or the promoter more often than not have to charge higher than €5 I'm afraid. someone said earlier that if you want to see a gig in a venue thats not a pub basically (i.e. better sound, better layout)...
