Your work situation (2 Viewers)

Got a promotion and now I’m the highest I want to get in the job.
I just need to keep my head down for a few months and then I’ll never have to do an interview ever again.

I think they have a job in mind for me but it’s not available until January. Kinda a fixer/putting out fires type thing that I’ve incorrectly giving the impression that I’ll been good at it.
I’ve caused most of the problems in the first place, so jokes on them.

Not in my experience;
I'm casually applying for jobs. I have no real desire to leave my job but I've just gotten into the mindset that I've nothing to lose by sticking in applications cos something might come of it.

I've done a couple of interviews. Both went really well I thought. Like I did give the best of myself and didn't have any regrets about anything I said/didn't say. I got a PFO from one, and the last communication I got from the other was that I was down to the last 2. That was after several communications apologising for how long the process was taking. Then I heard nothing more. It was around the time the tarriff talk started up so I'm more inclined to think they lost their budget for the position rather than that they didn't want me.

From the other few applications I've put in I'm getting PFOs from some and zero contact from others. So I'd say its a mixed bag really.

The job I'm in now went silent on me and only started to act with any urgency when I got another job offer and let them know about it. They made me a formal offer the next day. So maybe you should call their bluff to draw them out.

Similar to my last post, one of the youngers showed up, boring corporate thing, not in his branded work uniform, but in a Coldplay t-shirt. On the back it said "Steel Crew".
I asked: "Coldplay? are your normal work clothes not humiliating enough?"

I don't really do those big shows anymore for reasons mentioned earlier and it's sad. Rock n roll ain't rock n roll, it's just frustrating. Getting cunted off by condescending Americans and coke addled Brit gammons is just not my thing.

So now I do corporate shit and soccer ball stuff. I've sold out man, but for the sake of my own mental health.

I'm about to interview someone for a job. They have traveled and studied all around the world, speak 3 languages, have degrees and masters out the wazoo.

I feel so inadequate.

They wouldn't hire me.

As of this summer I haven't had a paid job for 30 years, other than 20+ years ago:
I got paid £75 once as a share of tips for doing pub cleaning.
In late 90's about 5+ times I got about £6 for doing some cleaning in a mental health clinic. They insisted I took the money, it wasn't even much then and I did it as therapy + payback for the staff being nice folks
I do lots of stuff it's just not paid.

Finishwed a massive.. prestige ...job a day early today. A COMPLETE success. So satisfying . Already booked to replicate it in another mansion nearby.

Icing on cake.. off tomorrow!. It's pints time...the warm up for Bad Manners in Boyle starts here
