Black Sabbath (3 Viewers)

I have a young housemate who wears 80s metal t-shirts, they look like they're from the 80s, not just retro t-shirts printed up recently. The state of them. I think I saw a Black Sabbath one, definitely Def Leppard, I forget what else. I never heard him listening to any 80s metal though, he seems to listen to some kind of vaporwave metal with synths and autotune and stuff.

I remember a guy last year who was not long out of school asking me if AC/DC were Irish. Like he literally knew nothing about them which is kind of understandable really. It's also crazy to see young people who decide to get into retro metal look the part as if they have time travelled from the 1980's.

Perth is like the Dublin of Western Australia. And Fremantle is like Howth or Bray maybe. All my favourite Aussies are from WA.

For me the classic metal look brings to mind local ner do wells hanging round outside chippers and snooker halls in the 80s (born 1980

In Belfast, hanging around the chippy ( as it is called there) and sporting the metal look would have got you a kicking. The current look amongst hip youngsters these days ( colourful tracksuit, mustache, bit of a mullet ) would have fitted right in

That picture above was not cosplay or weekend wear. It was everyday wear. It's also out of context in that Rockers here faced the same shit as Gary's Belfast rockers faced.

the backs of all those jackets were amazing. Conor has Iron Maiden's first album covering the entire back, Graham has a perfectly painted Mama's Boys logo (signed by Pat, John AND Tommy), I had 2 Minutes to Midnight, Kelvin had Piece of Mind, David has Aces High and I can't remember what Andrew and Dwane had.
