Cliff's Sincerely album from '69 is very cool. Plus there's bits and pieces beforehand and later on. Given that's he been releasing records since the late 1950s he's bound to make a good one every now and then.

The Osmonds have three decent LPs, Phase III / The Plan / Crazy Horses. Easy to find for cents.

edit: having said that, I'm told Picture Book is a very good album. I'm a bit afraid to listen to it though in case I actually end up liking Simply Red. There's a talking heads cover on it, gonna go listen to that now actually

yeah. i had never heard it before. i've always like his voice. I bought one of their singles sometime in the late 80s and the b-side had a live version of this sing with just himself on guitar and vocals, it was also very nice. I wonder if he still loves the EEC.
