How does this work? Are the three live bands playing Kerbdog covers whilst Cormac Battle makes pleasantries with super-fans? wonder what his appearance fee is.

Good luck with it.

Well, you got your chances in the last few years as they played smaller and smaller venues.

Yay...

The reason for a tribute album is justified by the bands getting involved with the album. If it wasn't warranted then they wouldnt have recorded their track. Read some of the comments on the Pledge...website, some of the bands have given their reasons for recording their track.

I did ask LSB to play, but their drummer is about to become a dad so there is no guarentee they could play.

fair point. kerbdog were a good band but not good enough or groundbreaking enough to warrant a tribute band imhhhhho.

I dunno have you listened to their first album? It's pretty damn impressive, caused a bit of a flurry when it was released for good reason. They deserve a tribute at the least considering you can't even but their albums anymore

I have the first album on cassette. They were quiet good as a Helmet meets Grunge band. When they went "indie" for the second album it just didn't sound convincing to me.

Another great irish rock tune from around the same time.

no me neither. On the turn is by no means a bad album but slimming down to a three piece wasn't a good idea, especially when it meant they couldn't play some of the best tracks of the first album live anymore. I think circa '94 they were better than Helmet tbh.

I remember when the other guitarist left. I had just finished a FAS course and was desperately trying to find a way out of having to get a depressing job. So I rang kerbdog's management to see if they were going to be looking for another guitarist. They weren't.
