Around 89 or so I heard that Youth of Today wanted to play Belfast,but it was turned down as whoever was asked to do it thought it was Warzone( almost as frustrating)

Still irks me to this day
 
The Shelter was next door to Vicar St - not upstairs. I saw Opeth there. It was tiny and I remember the only place we could find to stand was on stage.

Yeah I know but I'm 99% sure it's the venue being referred to.

Yeah, no way that photo was taken in the Vicar Street Shelter. That's the version of Palace Brothers from the 1993 tour @old put on, with Henrique Prince on violin, and Vicar Street didn't open until 1998

Oldham did play there with Pajo, night before they played the big room with Paul O'Reilly.
