Slint......again? (1 Viewer)

How many times have they played here? I saw them the first and thought it was like watching paint dry. But then much as I love the records, they don't really play the kind of music that appeals to me live.

(I have no idea what ce fath means? )

yep, sorry dude. It means 'why?'

If memory serves they reformed and played spiderland (in crawdaddy I think). Thats a damn fine album and I really wanted to go, but couldn't. I know Pajo has been here since but that was the only Slint gig that happened here since I heard of the band (about 5/6 years back)

Oh,ok then. After the first one,I'd have given that a miss. Don't imagine performance wise it would have been too different to me.
(and I'm sure I'm in the minority in my opinion of them live)

I thought they were mostly great in Tripod. The Spiderland material was obviously the highlight and they also played the Glenn and Rhoda EP. However, the new song they played did nothing for me. It was recorded for a DVD that never materialised.

I thought the Vicar Street gig was amazing, it blew me away. Tripod wasn't as good imo but i would definitely go to see them again.

Very underwhelming to be honest. Rumor has it it's not new at all. It was written around the time of the E.P but never made it beyond the practice room.
