US glam punk legends the NEW YORK DOLLS are to follow their comeback shows at MORRISSEY's MELTDOWN with a massive outdoor gig in BELFAST.

The band, who reformed at the request of the former Smiths man, will support The White Stripes in front of thousands in the Botanic Gardens on August 25.

Of all the old bands reunions the New York Dolls with Chrissie Hynde taking the place of johnny Thunders is without doubt the weakest. I'd still love to see them but not at something like that.
