Any other opinions there?

In particular can anyone answer whether I can run a dual reaper/pro tools setup on the same machine? i.e. have it connected to a digi003 and a mackie control surface and use either software as I see fit.

Thanks for the Logic insight Cormo ....
Hey Hugh, just outta curiosity, why the Mackie control surface? If you're buying a 003 would you not consider this?

It'd be fuck all use to you, though, as a control surface for Reaper.

You sure? I'm finding it hard to get to grips with which ones will work with Reaper and which ones won't. I suppose because this is a more integrated system it just talks to pro tools. Is that right?

A lot of people on that forum use Reaper with Digidesign hardware so it might be a good idea to ask on that what works with what. I know the Digi 003's inputs and outputs should work on it when used with ASIO drivers but I don't think they control surface would work but you never know.

fuck that, Logic all the way. so much in it but easy to get to grips with. you can get as detailed and into as you want or just use the basics. its only bleedin deadly or Logic express or whatevs
