Steven Reid being out injured yet again is potentially a big problem, especially seeing as his likely replacement is Liam Miller.. The 2 disasters against Cyprus last time round were largely down to them dominating us in midfield and putting constant pressure on a shaky defence. Cyprus are away to Georgia on Saturday, hopefully Georgia will give them a decent run around and they won't be coming into the Ireland game on a high. Seriously though, if we can't beat them this time with the 'revenge' factor and everything then we'll be in real trouble. Hoping for an early Ireland goal and a two-goal margin of victory, but it's probably going to be a tense dogfight again.

Cyprus seem like a confidence team to me. I'd like to see the tone being set early on, similar to Hunt against Georgia. If we tear in to them, cause them some problems and get a goal I think we'll go on and beat them handy enough. Doyle is in blistering form and I'm hoping to see Duff put plenty of good crosses in for him.

VERY concerned about Miller though. I just really don't think he's good enough. But I suppose Trap knows best...

Gonna be a tough one this.
This has gotta be the best Cyprus team of all time here, you just need to look at the Champions League to see how strong Cypriot football is at the moment.
If we play well like we have in the last 2 games we should be alright defensively though, so if we can take a chance or two we should be able to come out with a win.

I was thinking of going to the match but no chance now, that's a fuckin rip off. Fuck sake like, I saw Celtic v Barcelona in the Champions League and tickets for that were about 32 euro and there were far better players on display then than Ireland v Cyprus can boast!
