here, the Clash were only properly together for, what, six years? Neil Young has never broken up. Seems a bit unfair

= better than the Clash + Neil Young + the Ramones

Van Morrison has to get a mention, Staus Quo almost, until Frankie blue eyes Sinatra died he was pwetty consistent, he never had a hair out of place.

let's just agree to shout:

"IN YOUR OPINION"

at each other until we fall asleep

Neil Young's probably had more consistency for a longer run though. That definately counts for a lot.

Exactly, even in his 60s he still rocking where most people his age would have given up the electric guitar and loud amps long ago.

And Janer can you stick to one thread with whatever point you're trying to make?

But none of them wrote songs with any semblance of radical politics, which was the reason I brought up Neil Young in the first place. I can recap it for you; Neil Young isn't punk, London Calling isn't punk and Neil still is much more radical than the clash ever were.

Van Morrison was great when he was in Them, and Quo have a lot of amazing records,I reckon they'd be great live these days too from footage I've seen. Sinatra can fuck himself.

I don't care about the politics, I just think the Clash records after the first one are more shit than good.

Van Morrison was shagging a woman one fifth his age, Quo put a lot of hairdressers outta business and ole Blue eyes was a Mafia head and you say none of them were political!
Hell you could pogo to all of them except for Sinatra and Morrison and perhaps Quo (post '76)
