For the worst film ever, simply turn on TV3 on a Tuesday night around 9pm and there'll be some American family drama tripe on. Stuff like "Where the Heart is" or "Golden Autumns" or something stupid like that.
That's where the worst films ever lie.

I used to work in the studio where the TV3 voice overs were recorded every thursday. The actor who does the VO for those TV3 trailers is a total pro but is suitably cynical about them. He calls them the "disease of the week movie" There's DATs of him somewhere saying shit like 'based on a true but not very interesting story' in his rapidfire swarmy voice.

Bring on the kevin smith Bashing. He is perma-trapped in retarded teenage coming to terms with sexuality bullshit. how this plays out in his films is so rudimentary.
He keeps a copy of the Magnolia screenplay on his desk as a reminder how not to write a film. Then he wrote Dogma, smart move asshole.

Only Film I ever walked out of:

Closer - how did this film get distribution?

A question which has been baffling me for quite some time. I kept reading in the reviews that this was 'grown up stuff', 'very adult' etc. Because everyone talks utter bollocks people think it must be high-brow. I think it's one of the worst cases of Emperor's new clothes of recent years, and one of the worst films ever made. Patrick Marber should have stuck to writing funny things for telly.

Now I think of it I also hate Gattaca, eXistenZ, Enemy at the Gates and A.I. I see a pattern emerging...

ah Caligula is a bit of a laugh! it's just there's so many different versions of it knocking around.. the one you can get on general release is shite, has just under an hour of cuts!
there is a 210 minute version of this.. quality jazzer!
