your house on fire. save one object. (1 Viewer)

this thread has been stuck in my brain since yesterday. the gaff better not burn down like! ive decided my laptop can fuck off anyway. the majority of the music on it i already have on cd/record and could be replaced. other stuff, id get over losing. the only other thing i take with me everywhere when i move is a framed photo of me with my nana when i was a smallie, taken outside her house. my grandparents practically reared me and she died when i was 10. i grabbed the photo from her house as soon as i found out she died and have kept it ever since. irreplaceable.

as an additional question..

does anybody have any heirlooms they would take out or have you bought a product with the specific intention of passing it on as a heirlooms?

how do you spell heirloom???

I have a 2nd edition Francis Lambe Print from 1807 I think. It's not worth much, but it looks fucking deadly. I love it.

I'd probably put my keys in my pocket and carry it.

It's pretty much the only thing i'm precious about. I dont live anywhere i cant leave at a moments notice.

Nothing.Just get new stuff.

I would regret losing the photos of Daisy.

I have a bookcase which I built out of pallets. It has very few proper right angles and some badly judged shelf sizes. (I didn't really follow the 'measure twice, cut once' rule). I painted it red and white and put wallpaper on the backboard. I am a little bit in love with it but don't think anyone would really want to be left it.

I have a poster from the anarchist mobilisation at the G8 protests in Genoa which I'd really hate to lose.

I have some other books and a page from this yoke which might possibly go up in value.

After all that though I think if the house went on fire I'd grab my phone, my laptop and whatever I'm reading.
