Wreck of the Hesperus
Filth, rot and sewage. Without needing much of an introduction, Dublin's dirtiest trio bring their aural stench to Cork for the first time in almost two years.
Funeral doom that's not for the faint-hearted.

This Weary Hour
Labeled by various sources as heavy and atmospheric, angry and evocative, Cork's TWH has spent 2009 making a name for themselves in the Irish underground metal scene. Their latest release, "No Hand to Comfort You", has been received very favorably by critics and listeners alike.
Pensive sludge.

La Société des Amis du Crime
The collaborative forces of Wölflinge and Paul Hegarty (the duo that also brings the fabulous Black Sun monthly weirdo music night to Cork) have finally found a name. Equipped with pedals, field recordings and various other uncanny instruments of noise, des Amis' sounds will have you rapt.
Corrupt, intense and invasive aural-attack.

Atheos
A few months ago, Mullingar's Atheos seemingly erupted from nowhere with an incredibly mature début EP. The skillful, technical guitar-work and riffage is made all the better by the strong song-writing found on "The Death of Utopia". Live reports have also been very promising. Atheos will initiate proceedings with force.
Death metal with purpose.

No doubt this is gonna be savage.
