Anyone ever done it from scratch, starting with juicing the grapes? (Which I suspect might be the most pain-in-the-ass part). I've a fuckload of grapes growing in my garden, after the heavy rain last week they've gone mental.

Other grapey recipes also welcomed!

Never made wine from scratch with grapes, but have made it from many other fruits.

This article looks like it might be helpful, but also advises use of a hydrometer etc... necessary if you want to ensure a particular result (dry, sweet etc) , but not essential by any means.

Oh, what about Grape Jam, or Jelly?

Do you have a juicer? I'm sure you could juice them and freeze the juice. I've got a couple of old cookbooks at home, will see if I can find any grape based preserve recipes in them.
