Trend are offering E100 for three hours of mastering for an album.
Other places like proper studios seem to be offering around E600 for a day for an album.
Our band is quite heavy and we've found that people who aren't used to recording or mixing heavy music make a balls of it even though they're amazing at straight forward rock or whatever. Is it the same with Mastering. If somone is used to mastering singer/songwriters will they be unable to give heavy stuff a good sound, or is that irrelevant in mastering?
We obviously want it to sound great, but is there any point in spending more on something that somebody isn't going to able to make sound much better??
