Joining me on the show this week is Dublin based DJ and Producer Gon
A long standing figure n the Dublin vinyl scene Gon has been branching out into a myriad of projects,including the production guise of Pasta Masta (funk and Hip Hop mashups,Chop Shop series and general nastiness) as well as pulling the beats out in the form of Sugarman
Notorious for a deep and up to date knowledge of tunes and beats,Gon has been a key figure in the emergence of Dubstep in the Dublin scene and further across the country--
A string of tight mixtapes including the Dub v Dubstep and a superb mix for A-Forces show,as well as some fruity productions including his new one "6" show that the man is giving due care and attention to the trade -and thats all from only one of hos 3 projects!
As one of the Chop Shop Podcast crew,Pasta Masta has seen accalades from all over the shop for the mixtapes and mashup series (including from one of the authors favorite s - DJ C..)
Gon can also be found in the real world on the wheels of steel at various bass-dens around town including the new AfroBass night in the South William starting Feb 6th (and first Friday of every month)
So its WF vs Gon - expect a combination of reggae-style dubalicious smoothies, crunchy wobblers and 2 step fliers - thatll be sure to have the WF clinic spinning and needing herbal medication!
