Weird spikes to 100% CPU usage (1 Viewer)

Front side bus, back side bus, whatever, the mobo is constraintent by its inabiliaty to cope with me, so here goes, buy anything for a fiver and try to make it look like its a tenner...I rest my case my lud...

CPU THRM THROTTLING tells the BIOS how much of a speed limit to apply to your CPU if it's overheating, but 1.8Ghz isn't 62.5% of 2.4Ghz. Is your CPU overheating?

Have you tried setting the CPU FSB & multiplier (or whatever the applicable settings are) to auto? Seems odd they're not defaulting to the CPU's native settings.

I dont think its over heating, its usually in or around around 40 degrees and the meter thing in speccy doesnt look too serious. Apparently the temp thing on my motherboard is inaccurate anyway. If I get another few months out of it I'll be happy
