i think its same family as the bR 600 - 900 adn BR 16, if they cant get a BR- 1600 MIGHT be compatable with the existing stuff.

I think he wants the BR 8 cos he is used to it. He is not one for reading manuals etc..

I've a Boss BR-1180 that I don't use anymore.
Looks pretty similar to the BR8 but you can burn stuff directly onto CD.

i think that was the same one, dude. i passed it on to superman.

i hate breaking technology. it reminds me of the impermanence of stuff and of all thst jazz. sorry to hear that.

Thanks to Kevin Gallen for saving the day. He has been using his 8 track for 8 hours everyday for the past 6 months so perhaps thats why it died..but yep, lovely stuff breaking is a heartbreak..
