On Friday 6th & Saturday 7th February, Belfast will play host to an unconference for musicians and music industry professionals. With its innovative format of participant-led panels, workshops, speed mentoring, open-floor presentations and informal networking, coupled with a showcase of some of our best musical talent, Unconvention will be the first of its kind in Northern Ireland.
Thanks to the kindness of sponsors Belfast City Council and NIMIC, UnConvention is completely free to attend. However, SPACES ARE LIMITED - REGISTER NOW AT http://unconventionbelfast.com!
The event is designed to let us, the music industry, decide the agenda, so when you register you can add details of the topics you'd like to see in the programme. There will also be slots available for you to speak or lead a panel, so let us know if you wanna step up.
The 2-day unconference has already attracted interest from all over the UK and Ireland; organisations who have already expressed an interest to get involved include BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Ulster, State.ie, Phantom FM, FMC, Music Managers Forum, Island Records, Sony ATV Publishing, NIMIC, New Music Strategies, Birmingham City University, Smalltown America Records, among many others.
