So... for the last few weeks the space obsessed geeks on the internerd have been studying what looks like earth-sized objects moving around the sun...

a LOT has been said and a lot of images from the STEREO sattelites have been studied...

I don't know what's going on (prolly just an image compression glitch or something), but some UK papers will be running stories on it starting tomorrow.

Now you'll know before a lot of others.

Here's a video "overview" of sorts:

I know that the source of these images is the STEREO satellites, bt I also know that the people most obsessed are a mix of scientists and totally alien obsessed nutters.

Well, the few experts that have seen it are saying they're not exactly sure, but could just be artifacts created by jpg compression, but...

the thing that's nutty is this:

These specks suddenly started showing up for the first time about 10 days ago....

...on two separate satellites...

I really don't know...

Prolly nothing, but hey... that's some weird coincidence huh?

Yeah this is definitely very odd.

I KNOW it'll turn out to be nothing, but still.... what if it's not.....

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

if you open it up in a new tab and zoom to full resolution you'll see a ton of lines... that look like ... well... glowing lines... around 1 o'clock and 3 o'clock.

Those just started appearing this morning.

Who knows what's going on... like I said, prolly just a glitch on both satellites.

You can go to the STEREO website and look at the images for yourself...

There's also some folks claiming that some of the most recent (last few hours) pics have been recycled from previous days...

...but who the hell could tell that?
