Howdy, a little help required here.

Myself and a friend are flying with them and we've booked one 'Extra Item' seat to bring two guitars, do people know is this cool or will we get beaten up at the check-in?!!

I've seen someone fly with two guitars on a seat beside them without a problem, but I can't remember which airline it was..

Gracias,
Adrian

if the guitars are in soft/padded bags, lash them together with bungee ties.

if you're still nervous, wrap them in paper, or towels!

I did it on Aer Lingus once with no major drama, both were in soft cases. Ryanair can be dicks about these things but just carry them on like you know what you're doing and they'll probably leave you alone.

Quick update; it worked! We originally went to try Queen Kong's idea of lashing them together.. somehow this turned into getting a Ritter padded soft case for the acoustic.

We put the electric in a thin canvas-type soft case which in turn fitted inside the soft acoustic case, we then zipped up the soft acoustic case so it was just one item.

Everyone was happy enough with that, both the airline and the security people, thanks again for the help!

Adrian
