Psychonavigation Radio Goes Live
Barry Murphy has been producing unusual electronic music of one form or another since the early 90’s and under the name of The Last Sound since 1997. Influenced by out-there rock, punk and prog as much as electronica. The Last Sound's music often takes unexpected turns.
The highly praised album 'B'locks' appeared in 2002 on Warp-approved Dublin label, Front End Synthetics and a collection of material from 1997-2001 called 'Skids' was released in 2004. His music has appeared on several compilations over the last few years and plays live around the country with alarming regularity, including past supports to Damo Suzuki, Scorn, Lackluster and Ambulance among others.Barry has remixed Sheffield based artist Anne Garner for her forthcoming remix album 'Re-making The Pearl' which will be released in early November on the Psychonavigation label.Also an expansive third solo album 'Frieze' is near completion, set for release in early 2006.
