why would i be getting a message like this, peeps?

Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server mail.[domainname].com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again, or contact the server administrator.

i can still receive email, just not send it.

everything was working fine last night.

also, if i abandon thunderbird and instead just log in to my host's webmail client in a browser, i can send emails no problem.

hosting is with register365/namesco. not sure if that's got anything to do with the problem.

most likely your isp is no longer allowing that smtp address. i know smart telecom only allow mail through their own smtp server

find out the smtp of your isp and add it in thunderbird options, set the new smtp to default
