The shows will feature lots of new faces for the label (KTL, The Zincs, Arbouretum, The Fiery Furnaces) as well as some that have been with the label since its inception, and who have had a large hand in putting it on the global map (Trans Am, The Sea And Cake, Tortoise...).

Free with every ticket will be an exclusive Thrill Jockey CD created by Girl Talk/Trey Told ‘Em. Fresh from creating a riot at the recent Pitchfork Festival, Girl Talk are one of the hottest DJ’s around, and also happen to be massive Thrill Jockey fans. We are incredibly proud that they have used elements from our entire catalogue to create this exclusive mix. The CD will be available only to those that purchase tickets to the November London show or the December show in Chicago.

We wanted to create a unique document to celebrate 15 years of songs that we treasure so we came up with a limited edition 7” box-set of Thrill Jockey bands covering their favourite Thrill Jockey songs. Many of the choices will surprise you! Contributors include bands playing the Anniversary shows as well as David Byrne, Freakwater, Thalia Zedek, Pullman and many more!! This deluxe 180 gramme limited edition 7” box set will certainly sell out!

It is rare that we can get all these bands together in one hall – and we think it gives you a great taste of what has kept us going for all these years: music that is challenging, utterly unique and most excellent. See you there!

...For a description of each band confirmed to play, see below ...

** Tortoise Throughout their 15-year history, Tortoise have been one of the most singularly dynamic and influential bands in modern music. With each record they have not only redefined their own sound, but helped to nudge music itself in unique and exciting new directions. So melodic and catching are their songs and so captivating and dynamic are their live performances that it is easy to forget they are an instrumental band. They started a remix craze and were so inventive that writers had to create a new genre to describe their music. The band are currently in the studio recording a new album due for release in 2008.

**The Fiery Furnaces Exciting new signings to Thrill Jockey, The Fiery Furnaces have established themselves as one of rock music's most consistently engaging, exciting and thought-provoking bands. This brother and sister team combine incredibly singing and musicality with a sense of inventive and unique pop. One part Harry Nilsen, one party Brian Wilson, their humour and imagination are the key to their inventiveness. Their sixth album, "Widow City", is their first for Thrill Jockey and features some of the finest, catchiest Furnaces compositions to date.

**Trans Am Absolutely ahead of the curve with every album, three piece Trans Am make a sound far larger then the sum of their parts. The multi-instrumentalists shift effortlessly from synths, to guitars, to bass guitars. Compared to Kraftwerk, Devo, and so many more, they are often imitated but never matched. An absolute force live, Trans Am have stood the test of time, and with their recent release ‘Sex Change’, have yet again proved that their sense of melody, propulsive drumming and their flair for the guitar are undeniable.

**The Sea and Cake In their nearly 15 years as a band The Sea And Cake have stood alone in their Brazilian and African influenced pop. Their records have morphed over the years, from electronic heavy to the recent and most rawkus, “Everybody”, whilst always retaining a breezy, summer flair. The Sea And Cake are the only band on Thrill Jockey to have been frequently accused of being excellent make-out music!

** Bobby Conn Often mistaken for the personas he creates for every concept album, Bobby Conn is a rock and roll, glam influenced chameleon whose amazing arrangements and rich recordings often get overtaken by his compelling and extreme onstage persona. At times overtly political and others extremely satirical, Bobby weaves complex themes through a carnival of sights and sounds.

**Califone Distinctly rooted in American folk music, Califone are no neo-folkies, instead they take the instruments and storytelling of more traditional folk music and turn it completely on its head. With layers of percussion and the haunting vocals of Tim Rutilli, Califone led the way for the current American folk revival. It is no wonder that they are in huge demand -- from collaborations with Iron and Wine and soundtrack work for HBO, to new Hollywood productions such as the twisted tale starring Emma Thompson, Stranger Than Fiction.

**Arbouretum Brand new to Thrill Jockey, their album "Rites Of Uncovering" is a stunning album of beautiful dark ballads. Hailing from the extremely fertile grounds of Baltimore, vocalist Dave Heuman tells haunting tales coloured by the dueling guitar and baritone guitar. Before finally starting his own band Dave Heuman was in demand as a guitarist and a vocalist. He also plays with the band Human Bell who will release their debut in 2008.

** Radian Delight in the detail that is Radian -- this Vienna based trio excels in precision, weaving analogue synths, bass and drums into a completely unique tapestry of sound. They defy musical categories and expectations. This is not computer music but music played with an acute focus on the minutiae.

**The Zincs Englishman Jim Elkington played with bands such as Sofia before moving to Chicago and starting his own group. His vocals and lyrics have been compared to Scott Walker for their rich melancholic sound and deceptively dark lyrics. This will be the band’s debut performance in the UK. Their recently released Black Pompadour is a critically acclaimed slow burn. They have a new 7” collaboration out with Monade on Duophonic, a tribute to Kevin Ayers.

** Daniel A.I.U. Higgs Daniel Arcus Incus Ululat Higgs is a musician and artist from Baltimore. Higgs is known primarily for his work as the sole lyricist and frontman of the band Lungfish, who are enshrined as one of America's last true folk bands, and Higgs anointed as a patron saint to artistic purity. "Atomic Yggdrasil Tarot" was released on Thrill Jockey this year in a limited hard back book of art and music.

** ADULT. Hailing from Detroit, this Rock duo, known as ADULT, slap you in the face with their relentless beats and Kuperous’ in your face vocals. It is never an exercise in easy listening, rather a very interesting and rewarding excursion into the world of the disturbed:, anxious, restless angst and hysteria. The band were leaders in the electro-clash movement with their label Ersatz and their releases on labels such as Clone. Never ones to stand still they added bass and guitar samples to their beats and cranked up the anxiety10 or so notches. They have transcended the movement they had a large hand in creating.

** KTL Paris Based Stephen O'Malley ( SUNNO))), Khanate) and Vienna based Peter Rehberg ( PITA). Together they are a formidable and threatening collaboration taking in the parallel worlds of Extreme Computer Music and Black Metal.
