I think people just like it.

I suppose it's on a major and whoever he/they are they already had hits in their home country so they just gets a bit of a push with a sentimental song about growing old, same as Fun - We Are Young, Green Day - Time of your Life, etc. people love that theme. John Lewis ads work all year round!
