Anyone want to fight about JCVD? I think he's deadly. Lookit that leg action.

Well, his left foot should be turned out more, to near a 180 degree angle.
His right foot should be turned down more to strike with the blade of the foot.
His hips should be in a straight line with his two feet, not with his arse sticking out like it is.
If he's doing an "artistic" sort of kick, his right hand should be in a fist with his arm parallel to his leg
If he's doing a practical sort of kick, his left hand should be covering his face to protect it.
Also, if he's doing a practical sort of kick, he should just aim for balls.

Furthermore, as the guy is on rollerblades, a kick to his front or back would send him reeling (rolling?), it would be harder to knock him over with a kick directly to his side, like the one pictured.

That's your answer for everything isn't it? Change the record, Seanc.

Don’t worry about it lads, I don’t know what I’m talking about really. JCVD’s background is in Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and Ballet, all of which would each have different ideas about face kicking.
As you might imagine, it’s a contentious issue that leads to much kicking of faces.

Personally I would encourage the use of kicks to the balls in all violent situations in movies.

He was the inspiration for the character "Johnny Cage" from Mortal Kombat. One of "Johnny Cage's" special moves was where he did the splits and punched his oppenent in the groin

That's the way to do it. Leg and bollock action in one go.
