LAZYBIRD DEAF SPECIAL
Sunday, October 30th, 4pm-7pm
International Bar (basement), Wicklow Street, Dublin 2
_______________________________________________________
This Sunday, as part of the Dublin Electronic Music Festival, Lazybird is proud to present live performances by Decal and Bird on Wire. Here are the obligatory blurbs...
DECAL has been a mainstay of the Dublin music scene for over a decade now. Through all its permutations, it has striven to remain innovative, never staying in one place for too long. Ambient techno, electronica, electro, sound art, industrial...Decal has touched on all these styles of music at some point. For this show, expect a strong improvisational element from the current two-man lineup of Alan O'Boyle on electronics and David Lacey on percussion.
BIRD ON WIRE is the latest project of Maura O'Boyle. Less dancefloor-orientated than her acclaimed Americhord output, Bird on Wire specialises in a more experimental flavour of electronica, well-illustrated by her collaborative track (with Dave Nuremberg) on Risc Records' Red Bridge compilation. O'Boyle has been a compelling live act throughout
her career, so this debut performance from Bird on Wire shouldn't disappoint.
Only a fiver in, as usual.
What aren't usual for this special event are the time (doors at 4pm) and the place (the basement of the International Bar, not the upstairs). So please keep those in mind when you come along.
Hope to see you there,
Lazybird
