What are those nekkid white women statues you see in peoples' windows in Cabra/Crumlin and the like? Down Faussaugh Ave. there's loads of them. Some houses have one in every window.

It is a white statue of a woman positioned somewhat provocatively, sitting sideways, looking to the right. She is kneeling on one leg, with her other leg, crossed in front. She has long hair and a sheet draped over her body. Not only is the statue found in many different houses but significantly, it is found in every window of the house.

She is the mythical Molly Malone, Dublin’s archetypal fishmonger, sung about in “Cockles and Mussels,” the statue of fair Molly with her abundant bronze breasts and her ancient cart. Dubliners call the statue “the tart with the cart.”

Poor Molly Malone, involuntary sex symbol, is part of a cheerful public statuary that has been subjected to traditional Dublin irreverence.
