It’s Wellington Weekender at the Workman’s Club and Bison Bar & BBQ from next Friday through Sunday. Three days of free concerts including performances by The Hot Sprockets, Mixtapes from The Underground, Toby Kaar, Ghost Estates and many more. The Workman’s Club will host aTerrace Market on Saturday, with treats galore for discerning shoppers, from vinyl to cakes, books to knick knacks. The Workman’s favourite DJs will be slamming the decks across the weekend and Sunday night favourite:Workman’s Karaoke Club will take your brain to another dimension!
Chili afficianados are invited to see how hot their luck is in The Bison Bar & BBQ Firewing Challenge! Pitboss Juris promises his wings will blow your mind and your mouth! Their scoville unit (look it up!) will be in the millions (that’s thousands of times more spicy than Tabasco). Sign up at The Bison Bar & BBQ all this week and the Firewing Challenge will take place between 5pm and 7pm on Saturday. The winner (based on Firewings eaten and time taken) will win Bison BBQ for six plus the honour of being the first on the Bison Bar & BBQ Firewing Hall of Fame!
Bison Bar & BBQ will also be hosting a Whiskey and Tequila Tasting Sessionat the Wellington Weekender. Commencing on Saturday at 4pm in the bar, participants will be treated to four whiskey or four tequila offerings. Whiskey’s on the tasting tour are American Wild Turkey 81, Jameson Select Reserve from Ireland, from Scotland Compass Box Great King Street Artist Blend and Japan’s Nikka From The Barrel. Tequila’s up for the taste test are Mexican legends Olmeca Tezon Blanco, Hacienda de Chihuahua Sotol Resposado, 1800 Anjeo and Maestro Dobel. It’s €15 to take part, which covers either the Whiskey or Tequila selection.
