Okay, this is a totally shameless plug, but anyway, I saw these dudes in NY, and their story is a total feel-good rock and roll tale. They broke up in the early 80s and then found out a few years ago that they basically caused Sonic Youth to happen. They've got a track called The Zipper, which is apparently the tune that Thurston Moore played for the rest of the lads a-way back when and went, "Let's do this shit." And the lads in the Notekillers only found out a few years ago that any of this actually happened.
Edel is going to have them on this morning at 11:15ish, and they're playing ATP.
I swear, they're not paying me or nothing. My cousin takes guitar lessons off one of them, though, so I'll admit I'm being indirectly nepotistic. Also, though I think they're pretty good.
