Picked it up today. It's been out two weeks apparently. Am half way through track two. The harmonies...are like...those brief moments at dusk when the sun and the moon face each other off and create a sky of unnamed colours. Hell. They wow me again. I want to go find an open space and laugh, eat a ham roll, then cry some.

Now track three - '24 hour store'...
"No, no one hears the singing bones
and no one sees the crying ghosts
and everyone thinks "i'm alone, i'm alone"

Burble. Garke. Smufgh. Words are now not enough. Has anyone picked this up? So far, and that's only three (now four) songs, this could be their moment. And my soundtrack to Korea.

Oh yes. And Rennie is hot as the fire of hell.

I listen to through the air and twilight over and over here in work


I read one critic - he said some of the best songs written in the last 50 years have been by the H family. Stuck with me that did.

I'm now on track seven A Shadow Underneath. Songs five and six struck me as the best they've ever written. This bodes well.

I think the song said critic meant was 'Weightless Again' though I may be wrong. Won't be around to see them live.

Gonna get it in Chicago next week where with the exchange rate it'll only cost me like 9Euro.

Couldn't wait though for the new Belle & Sebastian cuz I'm gonna be seeing them in Chicago and had to have it. Good rate at Tower on O'Connell St. for 15.99Euro.

Also just got the new Travis CD and the new Beautiful South single.

Gonna stay in and listen to new music all weekend...though I REALLY want to hear the new Handsome Family!
