So i'm seeing that you can fly from dublin to orlando for around e400, and gainsville is two hours up the road from there... So fuckin tempted...

It's going to be the job. The festival is in six venues over about two blocks in downtown gainesville. The Holiday Inn nearest the festival approached No Idea and made a deal with them to rent some rooms, all the bands are staying in the top floor and all the punters in the floor below, and we have exclusive access to the rooftop pool. It's gonna be fuckin insanity.

heh, good answer!

jesus, 180 bands for 60$.. thats about 43E.. so about 23 cents a band, if nothing else it represents HUGE value for money.
180 bands officially, usually there's two or three gigs in houses (three bands each usually) during the day before the gigs in the venues start, and three or four gigs in houses after the venues close, plus a local squat called The Ark usually does bands throughout the day, though i hear it's being shut down soon.

And if yer flying over, fly into orlando and get a bus over. Tis cheap.

Ah you don't need to be, if you can cover the cost of the flight, the beer is only $1 in some of the pubs (sometimes 3 for $1), you can easily find floorspace to sleep on and there's a lot of free vegan barbecue happening too.

pipe dream time, but what is actually the cheapest way to get there?
