I came across this link about the poor music industry while looking up stuff about Spike Milligan. Its nothing new but has some utterly ridiculous quotes such as.. 'Ripping is stealing their livelihood one digital file at a time, leaving their musical dreams haplessly snared in this world wide web of theft and indifference'

In the words of the Jerky Boys - SHUT THE FUCK UP!

(Theres another great quote about what will happen the Grammy award nominees if the situation continues but sure I'll let ye read that yeirselves..)

great quote by Robert Heinlein in the first thread :

"There has grown up in the minds of certain groups in this country the notion that because a man or corporation has made a profit out of the public for a number of years, the government and the courts are charged with the duty of guaranteeing such profit in the future, even in the face of changing circumstances and contrary to public interest. This strange doctrine is not supported by statute or common law. Neither individuals nor corporations have any right to come into court and ask that the clock of history be stopped, or turned back."

jaysus, he even says "
"This illegal file-sharing and ripping of music is pervasive, out of control and it's oh so criminal,"

oh so? anyone??

'MTV Get Off the Air' comes to mind:

"But sales are slumping,
and no one can say why,
could it be they've put out one too many lousy records...?"
