... interesting ( if somewhat pasteurised ) snapshot of the era... rarely got to see The Word due to pressing matters like sitting in a ditch drinking LCL Pils or some such sewage but would catch it the odd time when someone's folks were out and we availed of the free heat... ( definitely remember Blaggers ITA, Supergrass, Sepultura and PIL )... pity the Public Enemy footage is blocked...

the dinosaur performance was a good bit longer than the clip shows. they faded to v.t. for a couple of minutes while j soloed away and when they cut back to the studio he was still at it.

I remember every Monday conversation in my secondary school started off with "Did you see The Word / The Mary Whitehouse Experience!??"
my second favourite comedy when I was about 15. Watched them over and over on video. Probably haven't aged well but it was great back then.
