MAGIK MARKERS
Website: http://www.magikmarkers.com
Magik Markers have releases on Apostasy Records and Thurston Moores Ecstatic Peace label.
"One of USA's most harrowing and mesmerizing live noise units since mid-period Germs."
"Somewhere between a ghost dance and the DT's, the Markers serve up real punk rock. Not the codified, lockstep of modern punk, but something eviscerating, a disquiet child born of Patti Smith's "Babelogue" – blistering, primal, wisely rambling. You couldn't call what they did "songs" in any traditional sense. It was here and now it's gone – the way of all flesh, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. "
FROM wikipedia:
The Magik Markers are a three piece noise rock band from Hartford, Connecticut who combine No Wave-sounds with distorted guitar noise. The members, Elisa Ambrogio, Leah Quimby and Pete Nolan started the band in their basement in 2001. Guitarist/singer Elisa Ambrogio frequently assaults her guitar with various objects or stands on it, simultaneously shouting mostly improvised lyrics into a microphone. Asked to open for Sonic Youth on their American tour in 2004, the band's fame started to rise. Their debut album I Trust My Guitar, Etc... (vinyl only) came out the next year on Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label and was sold out within a year. A couple of American and European tours followed, including one with fellow experimentalists Sunburned Hand of the Man. In 2006, Gulcher Records released A Panegyric To The Things I Do Not Understand, the Markers' first proper CD.

They have released one limited CDR on the Deserted Village label featuring nasty monolithic live cutz and bopping instrumental Krautpop home recordings from members of the Wormholes, Papercop and Memory Cells.
///////////////////////
E+S=B started sometime in 2002 and stands for Electronic Sensoria Band. They improvise around a krautrock sound. The stated intention at the beginning was to only play electronic instruments and no guitars. They also must always play masked. While a drum kit is allowed, they have managed to stick to their other principles. The line-up and what they generally play is Dave Carroll on drums, Anthony Carroll on keyboards, Fergus Cullen on effects and Adrienne Flynn on drum pad/effects.
They started out mostly playing at Dublins Lazybird, but have been playing increasingly larger venues. Their highest profile and proudest show so far was as back up band to Damo Suzuki in Dublins Crawdaddy venue in March 2005. They have also played with Candian Freaks Les Georges Leningrad.
In Feb 2005 they released an album on Deserted Village. The same month their track 'Milkshake' was included on the Red Bridge compilation on Risc Records. UK magazine Fader singled out the track for high praise in their review.
