LAZYBIRD
Sunday, 9pm 'til closing
International Bar (upstairs), Wicklow Street, Dublin 2
__________________________________________

This Sunday, we welcome back Miriam Ingram and Her Large Band. Miriam's played at Lazybird a couple of times before, and always brings a posse of her friends to help out with her gentle electronicacoustics. This time, in alphabetical order, it's

Enda Bates - Electric Guitar
John Dalton - Laptop
Nina Hynes - Vocals
Miriam Ingram - Vocals/Acoustic Guitar
David Lacey - Drums
Colin Moriss - Bass
Darragh O'Kelly - Keyboards
Kim Porcelli - Cello

Can the floor of the International support the weight? Come along and find out. Doors at 9(ish), and the usual 5 eurobucks in.

See you then,

~lazybird~

And don't forget to tune in to Radio-Inactivity: Lazybird Radio, every Sunday evening from 6 to 7:30 at http://www.powerfm.org. This week, Paul
will be playing what he sometimes laughingly refers to as "music".

I had a dream last night that you and photon came to my house for a party after a gig and broke my melodica. But dave from UBS got a french sailor to fix it.
Going to bed with a bellyfull of guiness gives you mad dreams

Thanks to everyone who came down to this last night. And, of course, to the performers [takes deep breath]: Ane, Colin, Darragh, David, Enda, John, Kim, Miriam and Nina.

(Also a belated thanks to Alex "ebauche" Leonard and Paul "Blue Food" Rowan for last week's gig.)

Next week: fun from Limerick with 22, Mark O'Connor and maybe more...

And here's my playlist from last night:

Low, "Over the Ocean [Skull Valley Dub re-remix of Tranquility Bass '91 Party Dance mix]" (Caroline)
Rain Tree Crow, "Big Wheels in Shanty Town" (Virgin)
Fennesz, "Happy Audio" (Mego)
Rhythm & Sound with Savage, "Smile" (Rhythm & Sound)
Yo La Tengo, "Shrimp Stories" (Egon)
Harold Budd/Brian Eno, "First Light" (EG)
Gillian Welch, "I Dream a Highway" (Acony)
Alemu Aga, "Medinanna Zelesegna" (Buda)
Wasteland, "Wyatt" (Transparent)
The Durutti Column, "Katharine" (Factory)

Thanks,
Paul
