Stoner, doom, etc. (1 Viewer)

Revisiting a lot of stoner and doom metal bands these days and on a serious Kyuss kick today:

I still adore their sendoff album. Giving it a run this morning now. The undermixed vocals at the start are kinda a statement of sorts. It's my faves for playing along to too

this is about the only doom band i know (cos my brother in law is in it)

is that the rock on dunamase in the background?

EDIT: Quoted JRaz instead of MagicB in error.

Right well I'm off to burn down the British Embassy.

Wait, there is no British Embassy over here. Perfidious pricks.

I'll see if I can ask some of my neighbours what the names of their stoner-doom etc. bands are. They rehearse just over there. There are a couple, or a few, or none, or maybe just one, it's hard to tell. and I'll throw a link on here.

Is the same one with the impressive guitar collection? I presume my bandmate knows him if he's in this band anyhow. Might even know him myself.

Dunno what you will make of this. This evening the vocalist played a setlist of covers including things like Common People, but in his own inimitable way.

Anyway this band is apparently now defunct. When I asked him about this sort of music, he got upset that I was asking for internet pals, rather than me looking to book a band, I believe he has a few.
This band though, awesome live, stickers of that logo are all over this part of London. You know them even if you don't.

There's another band who share the same rehearsal space, which said guy thinks is better than his own band. Apparently they are young and not on the internet yet.

What is punk anyway.

What is stoner doom etc?

If you see them live, they do spend a good couple of decades banging on the lowest note of their guitars that they can. Then other stuff happens.

EDIT: When you said ETC, did you mean et cetera, or did you mean this band, called Etc? I had a word about this with himself this evening. "It's a hard Google" I said.
