I'd agree with almost every point except the second album remark as i haven't heard it.

too cheap to buy "cat passed out with bottle of beer and cigarette" from iStockphoto

Yeah you can tell by the paws, they look like little hands! That and the black eyes. Domestic abuse is common among the species.
