Neil Young: 'Helpless'.
The line: 'Big birds flying across the sky, throwing shadows on our eyes'

Now think Big Bird from Sesame Street
Presto! Instant ruination. (not that I liked the song that much but I've gotten some serious deadners for sharing that one!!!)

This could also be a nice time to share some misheard lyrics
Like 'Sewing machines of love' by Tears for Fears.

i still havent found what i'm looking for. ali's clit. doesnt really ruin it. just makes it more meaningful to me as a heterosexual non christian.

A friend of mine used to think that the chorus of "Bad Moon Rising" ended with "there's a bathroom on the right". The same friend was also convinced that Duran Duran's "The Reflex" was actually titled "The Briefcase".

I noticed at ATP that The Zombies were going to great lengths to enunciate the "the way she acts and the colour of her hair" lyric in "She's Not There". I wondered if this was because of the (supposedly) famous mishearing of the line as "the way she accents the colour of her hair".

the fact that it's 'I've got a silver machine' as opposed to 'I've got a sewing machine'.
Also, old thought the hot hot heat song bandages was called sandwiches.

The Zombies played ATP?!! I'd like to have seen that- but they must be a hundred years old by now?

No, no you wouldn't have liked to have seen it.

until disturbingly recent times, i thought Purple Haze contained the line 'Excuse me, while i kiss this guy'

 shamer
apparently jimi used to sing that line live and turnaround and kiss noel redding. true story. so you shouldnt be embarrassed.just nauseated at the thought of so much frizzy hair in such close contact.

it was just pub rock. But not good pub rock. If such a thing exists. Put it this way, they were no Cheap Trick.

Also in "Helpless", when he's singing about a blue moon, think of someone mooning at someone else and the moonee painting the mooner's arse blue.

SO disappointed about Victoria. I loved that song up until one minute ago.

Hey how about this. Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder isn't about Duke Ellington. It's about Marmaduke the dog!

I ruined "isn't it time we got a look at you the way you really are" for the brother by accenting the bassline to sound like... eh... well, you'd have to hear it. Made it sound like a kids theme tune.

My dad used to undermine the high seriousness of the Incredible Hulk by insisting on referring to it as the Inhudible Crelk. Still makes me laugh.

listening to ANY shellac song and trying to imagine albini squaring up to anyone taller than a foot.

but that's what makes them so cool. they're the soundtrack to a nerd's revenge fantasy. can't really imagine danzig or rollins singing 'watch song' and it being cool. it would be most un-cool.

i have a ruiner on the tip of my brain... i'll use this to procrastinate from study. thanks!
