Somadrone is Neill O'Conor (member of Dublin's The Redneck Manifesto and The Connect Four Orchestra) mixing the sounds of To Rococo Rot, Stereolab and Spacemen 3 type electronic blankets of melody and intricate gliches and noise using laptop, vibraphone and occasional strings.
With one Ten Inch that sold out in a couple of months, a limited cdr on the Slow Loris label and a new album due out, Somadrone will treat us to one of his rare live gigs.
He was last seen creating a live soundtrack to 'La Jetee' in the Lazybird club during the year.
