Shellshock Rock is John T Davis' lyrical snapshot of Northern Ireland’s burgeoning punk scene in the late 1970s. It features performances - captured live and raw - from local bands The Undertones, Protex, Stiff Little Fingers, Rudi, Outcasts, Victim and The Idiots. Set to debut at the Cork Film Festival in 1979, but mysteriously rejected at the eleventh hour, Shellshock Rock later went on to win a Silver Award at the New York Film and Television festival that same year. The geniality behind the camera captures the innocence in front, making for a disarming glimpse at the North’s punk culture, and introducing the world to a filmmaker unafraid to challenge the conventions of the genre.

What an awful time for this to be shown at. I won't be at it,at least Ive seen it a ton of times. I wish they'd just get on and release it on dvd with tons of unseen extras. I heard Reekus owned the rights to it?

Couldn't agree more, seen this documentary two times, the last time being about 4 years ago, been trying to find a torrent of it for fucking ages and never can find one
