Settler

Settler is a five piece alt-pop band whose debut album, Life Upstream, is a mixed bag of folk, alt-country and pop-rock goodies. According to the Sunday Tribune, it is "...filled with heart-lifting folk pop....Life Upstream is absolutely lovely, and it's the most enjoyable album of the year so far" (five stars out of five). The band is currently finishing its second album in Lunar Sonics studios.

El Diablo

El Diablo write beautiful alt-country songs that are reminiscent of the spirit of Patsy Cline and Hank Williams – "hearts being rent asunder, time passing you by, and loving the ones you shouldn't". Live, this band is a joy to behold.

Omelette

I’ll let Eclectic Honey web ‘zine do the talking – "Sounding like a mixture of Arab Strap's ubiquitous melancholy, Grandaddy's perfected stop-start antics, and early Joan of Arse slicked-back lyrics…." – it gave "Happiness" the single of the year award. Omelette is currently recording its debut album.

Michael Knight, would you be having the stall stuff?

Hmm...this could be tricky...I'll let youse know later...the best I'll be able to do probably is to drop the stuff up to Whaylan's around five or so and just leave it there for whatever lucky individual does it...(Juno?)...as for collecting it afterwards, that could present even greater headaches...the person in question might have to hang onto it for later retrieval...?

Yeah if you can leave it in Whelans that's grand. I might even be loitering without intent around that area of town at that time so I could get it from ya then - I'll get back to you on that. No problem with hanging onto it afterwards (I got very attached to it down in the Wesht - it'll be like a reunion :D )
