Hey everyone,
I am delighted to announce details of SENSORIA, a new bi-monthly night dedicated to showcasing emerging and experimental performance with music at its core. It is also a privilige to be able to host these events in The Joinery providing an intimate yet dynamic context that will hopefully develop into unique collaborative experiences.
For our first show we welcome early industrial and electronic pioneer, Pierre Jolivet for a rare performance in his adopted city. As well as setting up one of the first labels dedicated to industrial music, Pierre has released a significant body of work as PACIFIC 231 and is a regular collaborator with VOX POPULI (fr). Also included on the bill are two of Irelands leading electronic producers. Firstly Tomas Haugh (Hulk), will perform new work produced for his A MECHANICAL TURK project, which he describes as having a dirtier, rawer electronic sound to material released using the Hulk moniker. Finally Ed Devane (Meljoann, Second Square to None) will channel the spirits of Michael O'Shea and Lula Cortes when he performs new material for his WITHERING ZITHERING experimental project using a zither he designed and built.
PACIFIC 231 (Fr, Rotorelief)
WITHERING ZITHERING (Ed Devane, Fyed, Meljoann)
A MECHANICAL TURK (Hulk)
@ The Joinery, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7
May 27th from 7.30pm | €10 adm
