The Pacifics formed about two years ago as a way to make a horrible din the length and breath of Ireland, sometimes abroad too, when allowed.
A demo of the band's favourite tracks recorded in a shed was sent around various labels to garner some interest and received enthusiastic feedback (Austria's Bachelor Records even putting out the raw home recorded demos on a limited 7" release).
When Blood Red Records approached the band to record an LP with Jim Diamond (White Stripe/Dirtbombs) at the helm, the band jumped at the chance and recorded fourteen loud and snotty songs in just six hours.
The Pacifics are excited to release their debut long playing slab and they look forward to their dull future of adding to the list of six ex-drummers, numerous smashed guitars, upset girls, angry boys, upstaged bands, upturned stages, enraged venue owners, obliterated drum kits, one slightly damaged drum kit and more encouraging words from promoters such as - "You will never work in this town again".[/FONT]
