A 1994 Rickenbacker Fireglow bass, built in the U.S
by Rickenbacker, famous for their consistency and
quality control. The early 90s models where the last
of the thinner jazz-style necks before the more bulky
precision-style became standard.

Fireglow finish with white binding and
mother-of-pearl fret inlays, neck-through, maple neck
and body wings, varnished rosewood fretboard.
Includes Rick-o-sound output source for bi-amping.

Single coil passive Rickenbacker pickups.
All original parts. Very good condition. Comes with
Rickenbacker hardshell case. I’m sure I don’t need
to describe the sound of this bass.

Price: €1000. Contact Alan after 6pm

I have one of these. Have thought about selling it a few times (to buy something else).

How much did it go for? Did you get many calls?

Hi Macca,
I got four calls about the bass. The first person to see it bought it on the spot. Ricks are such famously love-hate guitars. I doubt you would have a problem selling it. Mine was third hand, 10 years old and had two scraps to the finish as well as some minor play wear to be expected for its age. I sold it for the asking price.

I'm sad to let it go. I'll definitely buy one again in the future.

yeah they're special. Apart from a StingRay I've never heard a bass with such an individual voice of its own without any effects or manipulation.

I wish I had the same amount of interest shown in the other bass I'm selling. I'm actually selling it to pay for a five string fretless version of the same intrument. See the 'Icini 4-string Zoot bass guitar' thread. Anyone wanna try? :)
