Go Trabi brings you a night of medieval madness at Glenart Castle on the 27th day of the month of May, MMV.
We proudly present two rooms of live electronic entertainment, catering for electro / techno tastes in the "Main Hall", and electronica / ambient tastes in the "Chamber" . This unique historical setting will provide the backdrop to an audiovisual experience that is sure to amaze.
Tickets are available at two prices:
€30 including return bus fare, and €20 ticket only.

Why do we go out dancing at night? What happens in the club to make it such a special place, so perfect for interaction? The answer can be found deep in the grooves of Reinhard Voigt’s music. His is pure, raw, unaffected techno. The kind of relentless, pulsating rhythms that grab you in their jaws, grip you ‘til you gasp, and shake you into submission. It’s music for the head and hips: an instruction to get physical, a challenge to your inhibitions, and a soundtrack for your pleasure and desires.
Reinhard Voigt was born in Cologne. He lived in Berlin for a short time, and in New York for an even shorter one, but has no further desire to leave home for long. In the early nineties, he ran a record shop in the city with Jürgen Paape, Jörg Burger, and his brother, Wolfgang. He got friendly with two guys who hung out there, Michael Mayer and Tobias Thomas. They had fun, shared a flat, and started a band: Forever Sweet.
Reinhard is Kompakt’s prizefighter, a pretty young champ with fire in his fists. His name runs through the label’s catalogue like oxygen in blood, and whether taking it out on tour, or sharing the domestic duties, he’s making his company’s heart beat. As an A&R, he helps forge Kompakt’s direction and identity, working through countless demos in search of that special ‘something’. He stands directly between two waves of Cologne’s brilliant electronic artists, and has established a muscular, throbbing, pumping style that looks to Detroit and Chicago, but belongs entirely to him.
At 2002’s Popkomm festival, Reinhard Voigt played his first-ever gig. Starting to play live, he reckons, was one of the best decisions he has ever made in his life. Now it’s not just his records that fill a room with head-rushing energy, he’s there too. The future may bring a new solo album, and more collaboration with friends and family, but only if travelling allows. For now, Reinhard is happy to continue witnessing this unique experience first-hand; his own tracks providing unleash and release, a glimpse at escape, and a chance to abandon pressure, pain, unease, and anger.
